Climber Gives Up Task Goderich—For the second time within a fortnight, ole i ei g a p cl mb has failed to scale the 90 -foot flag pore in Court House Square, the ob- ject being- to put a halyard through the pulley at the top. Last week Jno 'Weiss got within 12 feet of the top, only to give up when he Iost his nerve. Then Friday Wm. Bush of Auburn equalled Weiss'' record on his third atempt, but was forced to come down in pain when the heavy wire loop on his right instep tighten- ed under his weight. On his first two 'attempts Bush wore running shoes' and for the third he donned a heavy shoe on his right foot. With one wire looped around the pole and another of the same stretch around his right instep, Bush shinnied up to nearly , '70 feet, sir inches at a time, purling the supporting ware loop with him and teeing momentarily.
