We spent four days in Chicago and four days resting up in the beautiful Allegan County Park on Lake Mich- igan, which is located about directly west of.Port Huron, and a distance of exactly three hundred miles from Zurich. OBITUARY Mr. Edward Appel Passes The death took place of Mr, Ed- ward Appel at his home in New Ham- burg on Thursday August 2nd, at the age of 73 years. He had been in poor health for about a month, .nit only took seriously ill, a few days mint' his demise and the news of his death came as a distinst shock. The deceas- ed was a son of the Iate Mr. and Mrs, Peter Appel and Was born in Wilmot Tp. He ]earned the tailoring business in New Hamburg and later mired to ',atrial where Ile carried on a succ (, oful I ---e for r 1111'- years. About, 1' yoars from busino.,s and ' er7rcl back to New Hamburg, since then he resided there. He was married to Di<1. Zeller of Zurich, who with trree sons are left to mourn his passing. Tho sons are Victor, bank .manager of 1'ahn- ereton, Roy, Jeweller 01 Windsor, and Harold, of Cleveland Ohio. Ile also leaves four brothers and three sister, Herniae, (leo., end Chas. Ap- ple of New Hamburg John o! Waik- erten, Mrs. H.. Feick of Kitchener, Mrs. Bowman of New Hamburg and Mrs, Sararas of Wilmot Centre.
