sd. This seems to be a very low es -
eine ate of the number- of cases of
Chicken Pox occuring in Hay Twp.
Two cases of .Scarlet Fever .were re-
ported but the outbreak was kept un-
der control. Quite a number of ca.ses
of Whooping cough were reported
and quarantined.
We wish to take this opportunity
of stressing the importance of report-
ing any communicable disetse to the
family physician who will then report
it to M.O.H. In the recent epidemic
of Chicken Pox had the teachers and
parents made a faulty diagnosis and
permitted a case of Small Pox to con-
tinue his work in school, think of
the disastrous results that wows: nave
followed. Small Pox has been re-
painted in some of the surrounding
cities. Surely for the small incon-
venience that a "Placard" causes
anyone when tacked on his doorway
would any parent hesitate reporting
a communicable disease and risk the
possibility of an outbreak of the
death dealing Smal 1 Pox. Many
children in Hay Twp. have not been
vaccinated. Just because we have
had no oases of Small Pox in recent
years should the matter of vaccinat-
ation• ibe ,overlooked. No child should
.Mart to ,school without having been
previously. • To be safe from Small
Pox a chcild should be vacinate;l be-
