SAVES FROLIC PRIZES
With a threat "to blow their brins
out," Thos. Collingw,00d, caretaker
of Exeter schaols, frightened away a
truck -riding band of robbers as they
sought to gain entry to the Exeter
arena, housing the valuable prizes
offered in the Lion's Club frolic. Mr
Collingwood, acting as night watch-
man in the building, heard the truck
drive up about 3 o'clock in the morn-
ing. The men shook the arena door,
apparently preparatory to attempting
to force it. With no telephone near,
Mr. ,Collingwood shouted his threat,
and the truck sped off.
