Owing to the recent wet and cold weather the boys did not get in as much practice as they would like to have had, but regardless of this the locals showed up good against the visitors. Albert Heideman, the Zurich pitcher wag in fine form for so early in the season, he not only kept the visitors from doing much scoring, but he struck out no less than 14 opponents, which is an unusual amount. The score as a result was Zurich 5 and Mitchell. 2. Heideman and Yungblut. were the battery for Zurich while Pridham and Wright worked for Mitchell. There was a a fairly ,good attendance and anuch enthusiasm shown. Inthe eouthern section of the league, Ailsa Craig defeated Lucan by 3-1 on the same evening, and it looks like good] ball v'hen they keep the scotr_. ao closely.
