Mrs. Emma Rose, who is spending
the winter months with her daughter
at Windsor, was a recent visitor at
her home here.
Mrs. Herbert Bender, who has
been for some months in Biggar,
Sask., has returned to Zurich for the
winter months.
As we look at the calender we, see
there are only about three and a half
more weeks till Christmas. And that l
speck of time will soon be passed by. !
Mr. Wm. O'Brein has made some
improvements to his stable and gar-'
age at his dwelling property. A new,
wall was put up and also concrete
floors put therein.
Barristers Jas. Morley and F. W.
Gladman of Exeter were in town on
Thuiday forezzoon, attending the
Tenth Division Court.
Judge T. M. 'Costello of Goderich
presided at the sitting of the Tenth
Division 'Count, on Thursday morn-
ing.
" ' A goodly number of readers are
taking advantage of the liberal offer
of the Herald till Jan. 1, 1939 to new

makes a very nice Christmas box that
lasts the year through.
The mild weather of the past week
was followed by nice cold and the
ground is all frozen up with very lit-
tle snow noticeable, just the kind of
weather we like to see for winter.
The regular meeting of the Wom-
ens' Institution will be held on Mon -
eve. Dec. 6. Each member is re-
quested to respond to the Roll Call
by donating a toy, which will later
be given to some Childrens Institut-
ion.
Among those from Zurich who at-
tended the Commencement exercises
at Clinton Collegiate last Friday ev-
ening were: Rev. and Mrs. E.Turk-
helm, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gascho, Mr.
Archie MacKinnon, Mr. and Mrs. C.
L. Smith and Mrs. C. Eilber.
Band Concert
A Band Concert, under the auspic-
es of the Zurieh Band will be given
in the Town Hall, Zurich on Wednes-
day evening, December 8th. This,
we are told will be one of the sea-
son's best entertainments, as the par-
ties putting it on come highly recom-
mended. The London entertainers
will put on a program of Duets, So-
los, Monologues, Dance Numbers,
also musical and comedy Selections.
The public are cordially invited to
come and give ,the local Band Boys
a lift. A dance will follow after the
concert. Plan of hall at Merner's
Store. A ;big crowd is looked for so
get your reserved seats early .
