returned from their motor trip to
New York State and Ottawa on

hot weather seems to. melt away all

The Hay Mutual Fire Ins. Co.held
a business meeting in the .Dominion
House, Zurich on Saturday. One of
the vital items of husmess, was the
appointing of an. agent to replace
Mr. Wm. Lamont, resigned, and af-
ter voting was completed the appoint-
ment fell on' Mr. R'ueben. Goets, of
Dash,wood, who has been. a director
for some yeare.
Hand Injured
Byron Desjardine, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lisime Desjardine, of near
Grand Bond, had the misfortune of
getting his little hand in the cutting
box Sunday morning last at 9 a.m.
Byron was rushed to Dashwood Hos-
pital, where Dr. Hobbs Taylor per-
formed an operation. Byron is loins
fine. The little fellow is just recov-
ering from an operation of June 30

Drysdale, on Tuesday, August 31st,
when Rev.. Father L. Marchand un-
ited in Holy Weddlock, Theresa, dau-
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. James Masse,
of the Blue Water Highway, south of
St. joseph, to Mr. Loyden Denomme,
son of Mr and Airs. Edward Denorn-
me, of Drysdale. The day was sails -
ably spent at the homes of the bricl-

the local livery stable at that time
