The laying of the pavement on
the Blue Water Highway is progress-
ing nicely, at present they are near
the bend in the road adjoining the.
farm of Mr. Albert Hendrick. We
have been advised that the pavement
will be completed to the Brewster
corner, and from there to the Bend
a new coat of a few inches will be
put on the present pavement. Then
the paving will extend on south of
the Bend for a few miles.

tendsl'to'•xeside for a time. Mrs.
Bender's: sister, Mrs. R. Fulton, who
has been visiting here, for some we-
eks, returned to her home in Biggar.
There still are some band equipm-
ents
quipments out, and those in possession of
them are requested to bring them in
at once. A few uniforms and a snare
drum are still out. Kindly hand them
in to the committee at once.
Son is Operated
Byron Desjardine, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lesine Desjardine of Stephen
Twp., underwent an operation for
appendicitis. He was rushed ianmed-
iatetly to St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don, where Dr. Hobbs Taylor of
Dashwood performed the operation
on June 30th. Byron is as well as
can be expected.
Purchases Property
Mr. Henry Krueger, who recently
disposed of his faun on the 14th
concession of Hay, has purchased the
dwelling property in Dashwood own-
ed by Mr. Chester Geiser and gets
immediate possession. Mr. Krueger
we understand. intends making im-
provements on the property before
he moves in. next spring.
Looted at Grand Bend
Forcing the adjustable portion of
a dual window glass in an auto door
a thief gained entry to the car of H.
M. Hamden, a Detroit visitor at
Grand Bend, over the week -end and.
stole a suit of clothes, some under-
wear, dishes and $20 in cash.County
Constable Ferguson investigated the
robbery.
