with their daughter, Sister Francis

Seminary of London was a week -end
visitor with her parents, Mr. and Mrs
Fred Siemon. of St. Joseph.
Mr. Alex. Challet and Chas. S.
Bedard 'of Drysdale were Sunday
afternoon visitors with Mr. Eddie
Brisson.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jeffrey Jr. of
Blake and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Dew-
ey and family of Grand Bend, were
Easter visitors -to Mr. and Mrs. Leon
Jeffrey of Beaver Town.
Mr. and Mfrs. Wm. Milne of Toron-

Clair, Mich., were visiting Easter
holidays with Mr. and Mrs. John
Gharrette.
Mr. Frank Jeffrey was a Sunday

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ducharme, of
Blue Water south, were Sunday vis-
itors with Mr. and Mrs. Remmie Jef-
frey of Beaver town.
Mr. William Jennison of Blue Wat-
er south has recetnly completed thr-
eshing his 1935 grain crop.

Alice Higgins of London, was a
visitor at her home here.

Mr. and Mrs. W. R, Davidson vis-

Mrs. Harry Harmon, who has spent
the winter months with Mr. and Mrs.
W. R. Davidson, has returned to her
gown home on Richmond st.
Dr. Harry Joynt and Wm. Joynt
of London are visiting their mother,
Mrs. Alice Joynt.
Mrs. John Johnston, one of Hen -
sail's grand old ladies, celebrated her
85thbirthday Sunday last. She is
hale and hearty and her many friends
wish her many more happy birthdays
Among relatives from a distance who
were present were: Mr. and Mrs. A.
T. Douglas and daughter Norma of
Hyde Park; Mr. Allan Douglas of
London; Mrs. H. Vair and son of St.
'Thomas.
Mabel Workman has recently re-
,tnurned from Seaforth hospital whe-
re she recently underwent an oper-
ation for appendicitis.
The death occurred in the Kitch-
ener Waterloo Hospital on April 2 of
Mks. Alex. Ross, formerly Bertha
Bonthron, a former Hensall resident.
Since the death of her husband she
had made her home with her sister,
Mrs. R. H. Collins of Waterloo, and
while going about the house recently
the fell and fractured her hip in two
places. She was immediately taken
to the hospitalbut owing to age 88
years, she did not withstand the shock
and the remains were brought to
Hensall for interment.

Church Bequeathed $30,000.
By the last will and testament of
the late Win. Coombs, who died at
Blyth on March 23, 1935, the Old St
Andrew's Presbyterian Church Blyth,
was dequethed nearly $30,000 of a
"33,000 estate. The will has been fi-
led at Goderich for probate. The bal-
ance of the estate goes to relatives
and friensd. '
