Pupils Get Holiday
The children at Number 13, Hn:r

nothing unlucky about the number.
The rising Aux -Sable River had
flooded all approaches to the building

pupils had an enforced 11°11(1'4 on
Friday last. The "Sodom" bridge near
the school was submerged and .mot-

Monday forenoon was Division
Court day in the Town Hall, Zurich,
after procastinations owing to the
bad condition of the roads. There
were a goodly number out to hear
one case argued out Fritz vs Denom-
me, The acting solicitors did a lot
of debating over the tecnical legality
of the case, and at the close Judge
Costello reserved his decision until
he more thoroughly ready upthe
legal angles to this particular case
which involves a lien note given for
an auto some years ago.
One of the wort 'blizzards of the ,
winter raved with fury last Friday.
In a few hours the roads were again
blocked, especially the Highway from
Exeter north was all plugged up ie
the evening, and even the eig truck -
were stranded and could not get
through regardless of the snow plow
working as fast as he could. There
were banks near six feet deep .agaie
to be shoved out, but Saturday fore
a we]. e
noon things were again cleared up
and this will likely be the last "bad -
one" we will have as the wieeks aro
bringing on spring more and more.
