COronation in May 1937
May, 1987 is tte date most likely
to be,fixed for the toranation of king
Edward VIII, it was learned recently.
The pccasion will be marked by a
great gathering of statesmen from.
all parts of. the empire. Its was also
!earned the next Imperial conference
:will:lee .held in. 1937„ either immedi-
ately before or after the, coronation.
Fallowing the coronation ceremony,
ft is anticipated the. King will visit
Edinburgh, Belfast and Carnarrosa.
Later in 1937, possibly Re October, he
is expected to go to India to be
crowned as Etnperor at Delhi. The
possibility that King. Edward will
visit 'the dominions is. freely canvas-
sed butthe matter is still. in an ex-
ploratory stage.

Returns From, South.
Goderich-T. Roy Patterson, CO.
unty engineer, made a speedy trip to
Florida, from which he h.as reterned.
which is believed tel be a record og
some sort. The cold and snow were
disagreeable to Mir. Patterson, so he
hied himself to the Sunny South.
There he shivered in the sunshine and
exercised among the• palms in an
sittempt to keep warm, for .the temp-
erature was below the freezing point.
Three day, mesa enough and nine
days from the start of his trip Mr.
Paterson was back hi his home town
where, at least, one expects to be
cold.

Snake Venom a Anodyne
A new healing principle which
trains pain into the habit as staying
away, discovered in. cobra venom, is.
reported in the proceedings of the
National Academy o•f Seiences by D.
i?Lacht, of Baltimore. Dr. Macht sou -1
ght in venom a non -habit-forming
substitute for morphine. He found
something which. seems to give the
habit to the paid instead of to the
person. The habit is in most easee
for the .pain to go away More and
more with requirement of less venom
to keep it away. The new medicine is
a dried crystalline secretion of cobra
poison, known as the scales of the
venom.

for their part in the kidnapping. If:
Meisner should be freed he would be
in somewhat a perdicument as to
where to go as the U. S. A. immi-
gration has stated they would not
let him across the line, and inCan-
ada there would be little for him to
do. He has intimated that he would
go out into the wilds away from
all this fast life and there he would:
spend a quiet and 'reserved life.
