DROWNS AT GRAND BEND
The second drowning accident of
the season took place at Grand Bend
Sunday afternoon, Sept. 7th when
John Weitzel, 43 -year old Hesplei
baker, and former resident of Strat-
ford was drowned while swimming
between Oakwood and Grand Bend
He was swimming with several com-
panions and was seen to be, in tro-

The sixth•, annual reunion of the

Day at Ippenwash Beach with about
75 relatives''and friends attending. A
chicken diner was enjoyed by all

afternoon of sports and fun. A bus-
`iness meeting followed the noon meal
and it was decided that the 1942 re-
urion beheld on. Labor Day at Turn-
biill's Grove.
