BOWS TO SEAFORTH
The Seaforth Beavers advanced far-
ther into the Intermediate B by de-
feating the Glencoe team on Friday
night .by 6-3. eSafonth won the
round 9-4. A packed house of about
1,500 fans saw the game. she play
was quite even the first two periods
but the third the ,Seaforth team out-
scored the visitors 4;1.. Nnchol. was
the scoring star. for Seaforth getting
three. goals.
Held Meeting
A meeting was held at the Domin-
ion House, Zurich on March 13, at
2.30 p.m. for ,the onion growers in
the Zurich district, when about 40
pepole gathered. Mr. Claude Lock-
lan and Archie Jamison of Thedford
were present and helped giving some
good pointe. There was a delegation
appointed to go to Toronto to .attend
the meeting held by the the directors
of the market board. The object is
to try and improve marketing and
price conditions for local onion gro-
wers.
A Tie Game
Zurich School Junior Hockey Club
one day last week played a hockey
game on Yungblut's Arena when the
Zurich Flying Dutchmen and Dash-
wood team played a two all tie. The
scores for Zurich were J. O'Brien
and R. Schilbe 'white J. Hayter and
T. Fisher scored for Dashwood. On
a previous occasion Zurich beat
Grand Bend in Grand Bend 3-2 while
the scorers for Zurich were 2 goals
for R. Schilbe and one for IL Turk -

New Fire Engine?
The members of the Police Village
of Zurich were at Woodstock last
Thursday wheerc they investigated
the matter of the purchase of a new
fire engine for Zurich, and returned
with much enthusiasm, and as will
be noticed in Hay Township Council
minutes, they made application for
the borrowing over a period of ten
years the sum of $2600. which would
not be so large an amount each year.
In fact we think the surplus revenue
of the local water system when once
completed would take care of this
