The weed control meeting held in
the Agricultural Assembly room at'.
'Clinton on Wednesday last, was de-
scribed by Wan. Wallace, Provincial
weed inspector, as the best from the
viewpoint of !attendance and inter-
est shown of any that he has attend-
ed in his inspeotorate. J. C. Shearer
opened the meeting. There being a-
bout fifty in attendance. Mr. Shearer.

HAD NEAR CLOUDBURST
Serious damage was done in the
'sew Hamburg and Baden district by
near cloud-berst on Sunday after
loon. On the C.N.R., two miles east
of New Hamburg, 25 yards of the

United. Church, and a former pastor
