and Mrs. Chris. Erb attended the fun-
eral of the late John Bechler at
r.Pigeon, Mich. over the week -end.
Mr. Rechler, Who died in his 52nd
ytear was a son of the late Christ
Bechler, who was a former Zurich
district boy, being a brother of the
late_,Menno and John Bechler. The
late Mr. ,Bechier was unmaiiried at
the time of his death, his wife hav-
ing predeceased. •
LIBERAL RALLY
A big Liberal Rally meeting is ad-
vertised for the Town Hall, Zurich,
on Saturday evening in the interests
of Mr, W. H. Golding, M. P., when
the guest sneaker will be ,Hon. Dun-
can Marshall, a Senator of Canada.
Hon. Mr. MarchalI has spoken in the
Zurich Town Hall on previous occas-
ion, and we shall never forget the
interesting and humorous type of
speak,er Mr. Marshall was on that oc-
casion. Al those who can, should be
present and hear Mr. Marshall. also
Mr. Golding, the Liberal Candidate
for the Huron -Perth con:t-ituency.
The meeting is called for 8 o'clock,
and the Ladies are especially invited.

•Enthusiastic support of the ocal
branch of the Canadian Red Cross
Soriiety was reported at the meeting
of ,the Advisory Board, Monday,
March 11. A quilt ha's been donated
by the Bible Society of the Evangel-
ical Church and a quilt top by Mrs.
John ,Steckle, The President, MO E.
M. Dagg, reported that the sum of
$50.75 has been donated to Vie So-
ciety by those who managed tho re-
cent quilt -draw. Much credit 'is due
to the pupil, of Room IT o:i. Zurich
?uh1_ig School for them` contribution
of the sunt of two dollars which con-
stituted the :proceeds of their Vales -
tine Skating ,Party. The Treasurer;
Dr. P. J. O'Dwyer, reported thr;t con-
tributions to the Branch to date a-
mount to $1063.23, and that $467
has. been 'devoted ,to the purchase of
supplies. Through the co-operation
of the music instructors in the scho-
ols of the commun:ty, a concert to
eorisi-t of numbers provided by the
pupils is being planned for the near
future.
