Grader for 1940. The con- tracts for manager of the Dashwood and Zurich Telephone Centrals were renewed as follows: for Zurich, H.G. Hess, salary $2100; Dashwood Harry Hoffman, salary $2200 plus $100 for rent. A motion was also put into effect that all persons wishing to have their present wall telephones con- verted into a Wall -Hand set can do so by an additional charge of $8.00, and new subscribers can have this instal- ation ray an additional $5.00. .4 motion was also put through for bhe purchase of some unused Bell Co. supplies not in use in the Greenway district. Held Special Meeting The Council of. the Townsldp of Hay held a special meeting in the office of the Clerk, Mr. A. F.Hess, when. a number of items of interest were discussed. On Moeday evening March 5th the ladies of the Zurich Women's 'Instt- itute met for their regular meeting: Mrs. Dagg presided for an enjoyable program which opened by singing the National Anthem and praying the 1 Lord's Prayer.
