what this kind of a day we may see,
we do not expect to get out the

Dies at Stratford
Word was received here of the
passing of a former Zurich old boy
at Stratford on January 18th, in the
person of Mr. Philip Randall in his
(56th year. Deceased was a son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Randall,
former residents of Zurich, Mx.
Philip Randall, who was a contractor
resided for many years at Callande
Ontario, where he followed'hi!; trade.
GciLDEN WEDDING
The home of Mr. and M'rs. Chas.
Lochner; of Shipka, was the scene of
a happy event on Jan, 10th, when
their children gathered to help them
celebrate their golden wedding an-
niversary. They received many gifts
among which was a bouquet of yel-
low mums from their grandsons. The
evening was spent in games and a
singsong, after which lunch was ser-
ved. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lochner
have spent all their married life in
Shipka where. IVIr. Lochner has a
blacksmith shop.

OPPOSES PROHIBITION
