Your publisher is enjoying the very choicest of venison these days which he was presented with by our neph- ew, Stanley Smith of St. Joseph. We do admit it just suits our palat, and when our keen appetite wears down a little to the venison steaks we just change over to the generous slabs of grey lake trout which itanrey also brought along from the hunting grounds in Manitoulin Islsnd. -The trout like the venison is about the, finest eating we have done for some time. CAMPAIGN IS ON The campaign for $3,000,000 to carry on the work of the Red Cross is on- all over Canada. There should be no need of stressing the need of this call to the people to give gen- erously to the worthy cause. The local canvassers are busy Whenever they have available time, and so far have met with good success. The ob- jective for Zurich is $1,00 and if everyone will do their bit this a- mount will be raised. It is suggest- ed that if every adult contributes $1 and those who can give more, it will be reached nicely. Help those who are going to protect us at home.
