The minu- tes of the previous meeting were read and adopted• on motion. The Clerk informed the Council he had received a certificate from the Ontario Municipal Board authorizing the Municipality to pass the requisite Debenture By -Law to provice for the capital expenditure of $2,200. for,the 9nstallation of a steam heating system in the School house of U.S.S. No. 16, Stephen and Hay Twps. On motion this by-law was passed. Motion, that lay -law No. 536. to provide for the levy and eoilection from and upon the rateable property of the Municipality for the year 1939 be passed and signed by the ;Reeve and Clerk. Motion, that this Council give the Exeter Fair Board a. grant of 25. Mr. Jacob Deichert who has recent- ly been taken to London Hospital, underwent an operation and had a stone removed from the bladder. His company is training at Carling Heights, London. Rev. C. B. Heckendorn, J. Gascho A. Melick and T. Meyers attended the Men's Brotherhood meeting at Kitch- ener on Friday evening, where Dr. ,Shalier of Harrisburg, Pa., was the main speaker. The local grist mill is quite busy these days grinding wheat into flour for which there is a fair demand.The price being °,paid the farmers for the wheat rs ' <7Oc:' Bushel 'iii`it7^ight as. they have not so far dealt through the Wheat Board. Zurich Fall Fair Next Monday and Tuesday is Zur- ich's big event of the year, namely, the Zurich Fall Fair. This year the fair promises to give the public a very interesting program as there are an abundance ofSpecial Prizes, 41 doners in all and many give several Specials. In the afternoon of Fair Day there will be bicycle races, Tug of War Contest, and a special feature will be the Zurich Heavy Dram Foal Club, exhibit. The Prize monies in the horse classes have been ezeatly increased. In the afternoon The Heniick'Memorial Band of Dashwood will supply music. In the evening a grand concert will be given in the town. hall, followed by a dance. In fact it will be a big afternoon and evening. The exhibits throughout will promise to be good this year. The bride looked charming in a dress of floor length white net and *lace, and carri- ed abouquet of asters and ferns.Mrs 'Harold Bell, the br'ide's sister, in a gown of pink lace and net and, Mr. Harold Bell were the only attend- ants. A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents, with only the immediate members of the families being present. The (fir- ing room was decorated with stream- ers of blue and silver, with a three- layer wedding cake with silver trim- mings decorating the table. For trav- eling the bride donned a smart black tailored suit, with accessories to match. After a trip to Windsor and Detroit the young couple will reside in Zurich.
