OBITUARY Late John Douglas This week we record the passing of a gretly honored and well beloved citizen of the community in the per- son of Mr. John. Douglas, of the south boundry, Stanley Township, about three, miles north of Zurich -west of Zurich; who passed on ,to his reward on Monday noon, June 5th, aged 79 `ears, 11 months and 2 days.,Mr. Douglas for the past number of ears has not been in such robust heath, ospesially the past summer has hrt failed somewhat, but recently was getting stronger again, as he enjoyed' a trip to Zurich last Tuesday evening. When his health fatted some years a- go, he gave up farming, having rented the land, but always remained as 0 resident of the buildings. Mr. Doug- las was born on this s<ttne farm where he spent all his life time. A man • of very high sterling dualities, very honest and upright, and always it was a pleasure to meet him. Surviving besides his sorrowing widow, is a daughter, Mrs, Thomas Dinsmore only a mile east; two sisters, Mrs,. (Dr.) R.
