The open deer season in Bruce Co- of Parliament, Missionary and Budd-
Unty is this week, the dates being
Nov. 15 to Nov, 20th, inclusive. The
use of dogs is not allowed. Reports
are that deer are very scarce Ta the
south part of the county. Farmers
who other years saw many about
their properties say that few have
been seen in the open this year. It
is thought that they may nos only
be scarce but that after the shooting
of last year the animals are keeping
closer to the bush.
FUELWOOD PRICES
our young folks are asking what a-
bout a skating rink . for th+w: winter:
We are told there wiuld be. several
good locations but who is to get busy.
and pnh it along. This' is` possibly
something for the local Police Trus,
tee: to look into. Other surrounding
villages have made proisions for this
important sport. Now with all these
new drains and ditches snakes it all
the less more possible •for a "freeze-
up. Probably the kind of skating
that our youngsters will have to en-
gage in will be "roller skating."
