The Red Cross Frolic which was
held last Friday night at Ilensall, was
a decided success, a nice sum of
money was realized and prizes in
War Saving Stamps were -won by Mr
Earl Thiel, Herb. Krueger and Wal-
ter Eckel.
Early Snow
Over the week -end we experienced
our !first snow of the season, and it
seems a bit early to be thinking of -
storm windows and snow flying; but
some quite heavy storms were pre-
valent in some parts, while here we
did not have so much of it. Last
year our first snow arrived about a
month later. But we are looking for
some real nice warm weather now a-
gain.
Last Thursday some ladies of the
Women's Institute and Red Cross
were very busy at the town hall,
where they packed 24 boxes for the
boys overseas. The work was cheer-
fully done and the boxes well filled
with goodies and other supplies. They
also shipped about 350 lbs. of jam.
So with the aid of Providence' we
hope that our boys overseas will re-
ceive these treats to let thein know
we are hinking of them in a small
way for what they are doing for our
country and safety.

enjoyed. At 11 p.m. the lucky draw
took place, the guest speaker, Dr.
Hobbs Taylor M.P.P. introduced by
