A Prolific Mother 'Pig • • On February 12th one of the York shire sows on the Stelck farm, 14th concession, gave birth to eighteen piglets. As this sow had the table set for only twelve guests, the sur- plus were disposed of to Delbert Geiger, • who had a sow farrowing. at the same time with a smaller Titter, who made the adoption. Mervyn Stelck tells us that ever since James Shearer, our Agricultural Represent- ative asked for a 20% increase in bacon, this sow has been going around with a twinkle in her eye. SPEND NIGHT ON BUS 25 anxious mothers in Stratford Sunday morning last, their daughters had not returned from attending an officers' dance at Port Albert. Police at' Goderich and all along the route to Stratford were kept busy answer- ing: telephone calls. Their chartered bus Vias filially located stuck in a snowdrift a few miles east . of Sea - forth;" where they spent the night. The bus was well heated and the girls spent the night singing and sleeping. It was 11 o'clock Sunday morning When the party reached Stratford.
