ANNUAL REPORT ..TheSixty-Eighth Annual Report of The Hay Township Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company are being mailed to the various policyholders, and the Company had an average ye- ar of losses and regardless of a few heavy ones the Company has had a fairly goad year, considering the low rate charg,:d ,for the insurance. The Annual meeting of the Company will be held in the Town Hall, . Zurich, on 'Monday, January 25th when the usual business at this meeting will be transacted. Mr. Goldie Graham of Brucefield was the president the past year, while Mr. Oscar Klopp,of Zurich vice-president. OBITUARY Late Jacob Brown There passed away at the home of his son Mr and Mrs. John Brown, :just south of Zurich, on Jenuary 5th, Mr. Jacob Brown, a life-long resident of the community, as the family were iLised on the Brown homestead a few miles soulth of town on the Goshen line. The deceased was in his 89th year. Always a very hard working man and prosperous, and was well known in the community, He was born in Stephen Township near Cre- diton, and for the past 12 years he lived with his son John and family. When leaving the farm some years previous he lived in Zurich for a time where he resided at the west end let town. He was a member of the Evangelical chuz`ch , Surviving are three: daughters, •'iv'fre Henb Becker, of New Dundee; Mrs Gorden Bergey of .Elmira, and Mrs. Edger Wuerth of Zurich; four Sens, 'Garfield, Kit- chener, John,. Henry and Melvin of the Zurich district; two sisters, Mrs Lydiai Hoffman, of Toronto, and Mrs Mary'.W:ittich, of Hanover, and a bro- ther, Rev. George S. Brown, of Tav- istock, a retired minister ox trie Ev angelical church. His wife formerly. Elizabeth Koehler, predeceased hint 20 years ago. Also a daughter Mary and a sDn William predeceased in Zurich. The remains rested at the T. H. Hoffman Funeral Home, Dashwood. till Thursday afternoon from where the Mineral services were held at 2 p.m, with his pastor, Rev. C. B. Heckendcrn of Zurich of'ficiat'ing.
