A .T McMurray, chairman of the
Huron War Finance Board, has re-
ceived the qutao of tate 3rd Victory_
Loan for Huron County which is
$1,900,000 to be raised in the Cam-
paign commencing Oct. 19. It is to
be hoped that it will be oversubcribed
the fir,t ten days. The ap?o:tion
rent of Hensall and Hay E. is $68,
250; Zurich and Hay W $54,600.
The following prco'lamation has:been
issued by Mr. George Armstrong,
Warden of Huron and Reeve of Hay
Township;
c. Exeter, Oct, 6th, 1942
_ I As Warden of Huron County I
earnestly .request the citizens to sub
l
escribe to the 3rd Victory Loan to the
h limit of their resources. It takes a
lot of money to supply our fighting
forces with the proper equipment and
supplies. War is very costly out wou-
ldn't it be more costlier if the United
Nations were defeated? Huron Co-
unty has an enviable record in the
number of men in the armed forces,
e in the number of air stations, in the
at response to the various patriotic ap-
peals and the sale of War Savings
certificates and Victory Bonds. I
_ feel certain that the objective of
, $1,900,000 for the 3,rd Victory Loan
will be oversu'bl;:cribed.
George Armstrong,
Warden of Huron County.

IS year will be a difficult one for your friend, the Duro Dealer.
He is not able to supply the demand for Duro Pumps because
present stocks are limited and shortage of materials curtails produc-
tion. Besides, our factory facilities have been diverted to a great
extent tb war production.
Your Duro Dealer may be able to supply a few Duro Pumps to
those whose farm production can be increased with running water
--- but he will be mainly interested in servicing primps now in use
to keep then; in the best possible running condition, 1-
Remember that ..our Duro Pumpis water, under
brings pressure,
right into your kitchen, bathroom, laun-
dry and barns. It saves many steps, much
time and energy. Keep it in good condi
tion by having your Duro Dealer check it
over and replace worn parts. He will
gladly estimate the cost of putting it into
first class condition. , #
