NEW AIRDROME Goderich-The contract for the ground work on the Goderich south airdrome has been awarded to the Sandy Contracting and Machine Works. The sight is located three miles southwest of Goderich, one mile south of No. 8 highway. War- den Armstrong and members of the County road commission were pres- ent when the first ground was bro- ken. Much of Huron County's road machinery idle because of the :cent - on of highway •construction, is to be used on. the job. The total contract price for this part of construction is in the neighborhood of $45,000. George Hess, Hensail, was the scene of .a delightful reunion When former residents of Biggar, Sask., ow residing in the East, were enter tain•ed. An enjoyable time was spent n swimming and games, climaxed by a. softball game, captained by 0. 1'antzie, New Hamburg, and J. Ester of Preston. 4.3 guests sat down to di- nner.
