Miss Margaret iMousseau of near Hensall is visiting with her aunt, Miss Mousseau this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bedard, of Zurich spent Tuesday with their parents here. Lake Huron has a most wonderful coat of ice after the storm. A person could think fishing should be good. Mr. •Rudolps Corriveau who sold his farm, stock and implements has moved •his household effects to God- erich !where he secured employment. HILL,JGHEEN The storm over the week -end has the roads blocked to motor traffic until the plow goes through, Mr. 'Otto Stephan has been on the sick list. We wish him a speedy re- covery. On Friday the funeral of Miss Elisabeth +McAllister. of Hensall, well known in this vicinity, took place to fillsgreen cemetery. The sympathy of the community is extended to the many .relatives. Mrs. John Baker entertained .a few of her neighbors on Thursday afternoon to a quilting bee. A number of the boys from this vicinity who are working in St. Cath- arines spent the week -end at their respective homes. DASHWOOD A Red Cross 'concert will be given in Dashwood Public School on Thurs- day evening Feb. 26th in aid og the Second Victory Loan. Rev. Grigg of 'Exeter will be the guest speaker and a special program will be given by the pupils. Mrs. Wes. England and Miss 'Beat- rice Graybeil spent the week -end in Woodstock attending the funeral of a sister-in-law the late Mrs. Wilbur Graybeil. Mrs. John Snyder of St. Cathar- • Ines is visiting with her mother, Mrs. R. Hayter, Miss I{areen Pedersen and friend of London spent a few days with her parents. Mrs. Currie and son Kenneth are spending a few weeks with her par- ents in Meaford. Ray Guenther of Toronto spent the week -end with his parents Mr. and Mrs, E. R. Guenther. Mrs. T. Hoperoft was called to Clifford owing to the illness of her father, Mr. Henry Hopf. :Mervyn Tienuan attended a Con- vention in Toronto 'Monday and Tu- esday. Mr. E. Hamacher went to London Hospital on Saturday where he had an operation on his arm. We under- stand the operation was successful and Eddie will .be home in a few days The Ladies Aid of the Lutheran church held a social evening at the home of Mrs. Amanda Shoemaker on Tuesday evening.
