Transients from all parts of the
county seem to fiock to Zurich, as
most other towns in the community
have closed down on these fellows,
and no places are •open for nights
lodging and iso they flee to where
there is accomadation. Last Thurs-
day night one wandered the streets
till after midnigh looking for the
keeper of the town hall. It is indeed
a nusiance, and to have these fellows
going around all day begging for
food, etc. We are paying for instit-
utions to keep these chaps so why
let the mrun .at large, this is 'a matter
which could be greatly remedied.

ic purposes in 194.2. This is the third
consecutive year this has been done.
The treasurer was authorized to
purchase $30.000 worth of Dom. of
Canada bonds in the Feb. campaign.
By an overwhelming vote of •25 to
4 the Council authorized a grant of
$3,500 to assist in staging the In-

next October; $2,000 goes to the
Ont. Plowmen's Association and
$1,500 to the local committee., • A
petition :signed by 25 farmers asking
to postpone the match till after the

money thus raised to apply to the
Gov. bond, County Highway estim-
