FRACTURES ARM
Fred. Morlock of Crediton, a !stud-
ent at the Exeter HS. had his left
arm broken while playing hockey.
Exeter H.S. and Ingersoll collegiate
were playing the first gauze of a
home -and -home series in Class 13,
when Morlock suffered a fracture of
the arm. He was taken to Dr. Dunlop
and later to Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don where the bone was set.
Hensall Council Minutes
The regular meeting was held in
the Council Chambers on. Feb. 2nd,
with all members present. Minutes of
last meeting were read and adopted.
R. J. Paterson, tax collector, re-
port read as having collected $30.53
.;ince last meeting. J. A. Paterson,
treas. reported as having rec'd $990.
in payments to date. Miss C. Mitch-
ell appeared complaining about be-
ing taxed too high, also re Insulin.
The Auditors' reports were pres-
ented and looked over.

calibre rifle bullet while he was op-
erating a manure spreader. The bull-
et hit the one lense of his glasses,
shattering it completely, but the only
injury suffered by Mr. Finlay was
the expense of a new lense. Mr. Fin-
lay picked up the bullet and upon
examination found that it was fired
from a fifie with a smooth bored bar-
rel'. Investigation has failed to re-
veal who fired the bullet. It is be-
lieved to be a stray shot fired by
someone hunting in the area.
OBITUARY
Dies at Stratford
The death of a ormer and well
known Zurich resident in the person
of Mr. Frederick Leibold occurred at
the Stratford General Hospital on
Saturday morning, February 7th af-
ter a month's illness at the age of
75 years. 1VIr. Leibold entered the
Hospital on January 7th for treat-
ment following an operation on Jan.
18th. He was making satisfactory
recovery when suddenly Saturday
morning a clot of blood had seized
the heart from which he passed pea-
cefully away. Mr. Leibold was born
en the Babylon line, Hay Township,
July 29, 1867, a son of the late Mr
and Mrs. Henry Leibold. Before her
marriage his mother was Rose ilartel.
He lived in Zurich prior to going to
Stratford 27 years ago. He had been
a freight checker with the. C.N.R.
railway retiring 8 years ago. The
departed man was an energetic wor-
ker and active member in the interest
of Zion Lutheran church. He was
married 46 years ago to Katherine
Woolley, daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Peter. Woolley of Zurich.He
leaves to mourn his widow, one dau-
ghter (Esther) firs. F. Wickie, one
son Arnold of Grosse Point, Mich;
a son Alfon predeceased 17 year:, ago
Two -brothers also survive, Rev. H.H.
Leibold, !Sebeingville; 'William Lei -
bold near Zurich; 2 grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Tuesday,
Feb. 10th from the Heinbuck Funer-
al Home, the service was conducted
by his pastor 'Rev. H. F. Gruhn, bete-
moltwas made in Avondale Cemetery
The pallbearers were all neighbors
of the departed. A'lrs. E. Bressler and
Mrs. R. Huehnergarcl. sang a fitting
duet at the funeral service which
was largely attended. Many beautiful
floral ,tributes were received testify-
ing to the esteem in which the de-
parted was held. Friends were pres-
eent frons Zurich, Kitchener, Water-
loo, Hamilton, Tavistock, Godericb,
Detroit as well as a. large number
from !Stratford and district. .�
