Hay •Council held a special meeting
Tuesday afternoon, the object .being
to.open tenders for the purchase .of
a new grader. The matter was left
over till next Council meeting.
Mr, Christ. Zirk of the ,Bronsgn
line who recently underwent an op-
eration at Clinton Hospital for ap-
pendicitis, is recovering nicely and
soon expected to return home. Mr.
Zurich who is in the early eighties,
possesses wonderful stcarinaafor his
age, and we truct will enjoy ' many
years of good health, after this "'fix-
ing up" at the Hospital.
DIES AT GRAND BEND •
. William Thomas Webb, .passed a-
way at his residence, Grand Bend on
Monday in his 72nd year after an ill-
ness of two anda halfmonths. He was
born on the 21st con. Stephen .and
had resided at Grand Bend for "16
years. He was a carpenter and prev-
ious to this farmed. Amember of the
United .church and a member of the
board of stewards. He was for some
yeart a member of the Directors of
