Outline bill for Playhous
At the annual meeting of the
Huron Country Playhouse board'
of directors at the Green Forest,
Hotel at Grand Bend, managing
director James Murphy outlined
the play bill for 1976.
Murphy said the agenda was
not confirmed. Directors will
decide on the suggestions in!
the near future.
The director said he would
like to have Anne of Green Gables
as the top play of the summer
season. It would take the eighth
slot on the program, be part of
the road tour and come back
for an additional two weeks
at the end of the season
Also included as 1976 possibles
are, "The Hand That Cradles
The Rock, 'The Boy Friend,
Agatha Christie's The Mouse
Trap and You're a Good Man
Charlie Brown."
In making his presentation,
James Murphy said expenses
would be much higher in 1976
with increases in union contracts
for actors and a jump in cate-
gories for the Playhouse.
He said the budget for the
coming year could be as high
as $200,000. Murphy continued,
"If we want a high calibre of
plays we will have to find the

"We have to keep our sights
high."
Past chairman Ben Tuckey said
he was amazd with the increased
interest shown by the public.
He added, "This is not the time
to back off from the quality of
plays we have been presenting."
Murphy made a plea to dire-
ctors for a variety of items for
the Playhouse stock room.
Needed are all styles of men's
formal wear, used linoleum, a
refrigerator, paper slicer and the
use of a truck.
The public is invited to a
Christmas bazaar at the home of
Marnie Brown, a member of the
Playhouse Guild on Lake Road
in Southcott Pines. The bazaar is
set for December 6.
Area native
dies in U.S.
Percy H. Kleinstiver 67 of
Aurora, Illinois died, Saturday,
November 15 in Mercy Center
Hospital, Aurora. He was born
July 1, 1908 in Dashwood,
Ontario.
He was a member of Balavia
Moose Lodge 682, past officer
of Illinois Life Underwriters,
past officer of Aurora Association
of Life Underwriters and past
officer of Insurance Workers
Union,
He is survived by his widow,
Olive, son Alan of Aurora, two
grandsons, two sisters, Mrs.
Jack (Florence) Cudmore of
Grand Bend, Mrs. Norman
(Ruth) Scott, Stratford; brother
Lorne, Dashwood and two
nephews and three nieces.
Area couple married
MR. AND MRS. KEN REGIER
Debbie O'Brien and Ken Regier exchanged vows at St.
Peters Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Ontario on Nov-
ember 8, 1975. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene O'Brien and Mr.
and Mrs. Clement Regier are the parents of the young
couple. Betty Jean MacLean, cousin of the bride, was maid
of honor. Walter Vermunt, friend of the groom, was best
man. Other attendants were Mary Anne Regier, Marlene
Regier, Patti Regier, Rick O'Brien, Jim Regier, Roger
O'Brien, Jack Cleave and Dennis Regier. Jodi Brokenshire,
cousin of the bride was flower girl. Dean Regier, nephew
of the groom, was ring bearer. The couple will reside at
R.R.2, Zurich.
