You'll be hearing about a new
auto air-conditioning filter
that screens out odors coming
into the car from outside.
*
Clutch noises can be caused by
damaged or worn release or
pilot bearings, misalignment
of transmissions and engine,
binding linkage or worn
springs.
Check your tire pressure
regularly. Tires that are even
slightly underinflated will put
a strain on the engine, cost
you gas mileage.
The automatic choke should be
adjusted when the engine is
cold
If your tire tread is worn to less
than 1/16th of an inch, don't
repair it — replace it!
If the car is tired, why not replace
that, instead! At Larry Sniders you'll
find a good selection of good cars at
good prices.

The many friends of George
Mayor of Burlington will be
sorry to learn of his passing
early Sunday morning. The
sympathy of the area goes out
to his wife, Irene and family
in their loss.
Mr. and Mrs. Mayor were
former residents in the
village and will be remem-
bered by many when they
owned and operated Cedar
Grove, now the site of the
Bavarian Inn on Highway 21.
The funeral for Mr. Mayor

Dredging river in Bayfield
The dredging in the
Bayfield River at Bayfield is
proceeding on schedule and
on Monday afternoon, the
dredge, tugboats and barge
were more than a third of the
way from the Mouth of the
Bayfield River. The contract,
awarded to McNamara
Marine Company of Whitby ,
at a cost of $99,000, employs
about 15 men, and is working
around the clock in order to
complete the job before
freezeup.
The dredging work is due to
silt buildup in the harbour,
which often prevented the
fishing tugs and some
pleasure craft getting in and
tying up to their docks. At
times the commercial
fishermen have had to put in
at Goderich.
