Calvary United Church Women
held their November meeting
under the direction of the Stew-
ardship and Recruiting group
with Mrs. Harold Hendrick pres-
iding. The theme was "Faith,"
Confidence
was read by Mrs.
Hugh Boyle; Courage by Mrs.
Cora Gaiser; Accord by Mrs.
Syd Neeb; and Understanding by
Mrs. William Chandler.
A poem "The Second Mile' '
was read by Mrs. Don Gaiser
and "Wide Walls" by Mrs. Hugh
Boyle; and Brave by Mrs. Hend-
rick. Each lady read scripture
messages.

Mrs. Mervyn Tiernan, pres-
ident, conducted the business
meeting. Twenty members
answered the roll call. Donations
were made to Care, CNIB, Lep-
rosy Mission, Children's Aid
Society, Bible Society, Crippled
Children's Treatment Centre,
War Memorial Hospital, World
Relief, Victor Home, and Mustard
Seed Missions.
In the absence of the pastor,
George Tiernan read the nomin-
ating committee report for the
election of officers for 1976.

LADIES AID MEETING
Group III with Mrs. Hilda
Rader convener was in charge
of the November meeting of Zion
Lutheran Ladies Aid. The pres-
ident, Mrs. Arnold Becker presid-
ed opening with a Remembrance
Day prayer.
Twenty members answered
the roll call with the result
being a nice additional supply of
tea towels for the kitchen. Mrs.
Harry Hayter also donated two
lovely coffee pots. Several donat-
ions were received. The Altar
Guild reported 15 visits, three
flowers, and two treats. The new
Guild is Mrs. Lorne Becker and
Mrs. Oscar Miller.
The nominating committee for
'a new treasurer is Mrs. Lorne
Genttner and Mrs. Harry Hayter.
The December meeting will be
the Christmas meeting at which
time an exchange of a small
gift will take place. Visitors are
welcome.
Mrs. Charles Martene and
Miss Helen Nadiger were in
charge of the topic, "Bridge
• Over Troubled Waters." This
involved all the ladies. The meet-
ing closed with The Lod 's
Prayer.
YEASTER BUNNIES
Club No H of the Dashwood ..
4-H girls held their sixth meeting
at Patti's house. Roll call was
answered by naming the supper
dish made using bread as a main
ingredient. Mrs. Rader discussed
Swedish Tea Ring, Chelsea Buns,
Hungarian Bubble Ring. Cynthia,
Joan, Jayne and Sherrie made
Swedish Tea Ring. Barb, Caro 1
g ,
Susan, and Sandra made Chelsea
buns.
Pauline, Teresa, Patti and
Elizabeth made Hungarian Bub-
ble Ring. Mrs. Keller discussed
breads from other lands. The
foods made were eaten for lunch.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader were
supper guests Saturday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller
and girls, Zion. It turned out to b e
a surprise birthday for Mrs.
Rader when other members of
her family were present includ-
ing Mr. and Mrs. John deNiet
and Tina, Willowdale; Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Rader, Sharon Racbr
and Bill Bennett, London; Mr.
and Mrs. Dave Rader and Stac-
ey.

was presented a family ring by
her family.

at Richmond Hill with Mr. and

Kitchener, on the way home.
