hold reunion
at Exeter
The Bullock reunion was
held at Riverview park, Ex-
eter. Despite a heavy rain in
the Iuorning the picnic was
well attended.
The sports were conducted
by Isabel and Fred, Ruth and
Stewart I3ullock. Race winners
were: six and under Michael
Kingsbt.try, Debbie Wiilter-
burn; 6 to 8 years. Earl Bul-
lock. Jim Bullock; 8 to 10.
Karen Lagerwerf, Glenn
Winterburn; 11 to 12 Susan
Bullock, Jim Lovie: 13 to 16,
Eric Bullock, Janet Bullock;
women, Marion .Leyton,
Ruth Kingsbury; men, Mike
Glavin, Doug Kingsbury.
The sack race was really
enjoyed by all especially the
wee ones. Of curse, kick the
slipper, three legged race
and the old fashioned wheel
t,urrel race really hit the spot.
Some relays were` on the list
along with a button contest.
Youngest baby present was
Bradley, 4 1 '2 month old son
of Mike and Betty Glavin,
The eldest" lady was Mrs.
Ethel Bullock. The longest
Inarried couple 13ill and
Rheola Bullock. 'I'Iie nearest
birthday to the picnic day
was Wilma Bullock.
The new executive are as
follows: president. William

News of Varna Area
Mr. and Mrs. Car] Kuhl
have sold their house in the
village to Mr. and Mrs,
Robert Roberts, of Brant-
ford. Mr. Roberts is with the
Goderich detachment of the
OPP. The Kuhls will be mov-
ing to a new home they are
having built in Caryndale on
the south edge of Kitchener.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Whittak-
er spoil the weekend with
Mr. and N4rs..George Burgoin
of Leamington and helped
them move to Golden Farm
Estate which is near the,
Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary at
Kingsville. Because there are
several lagoons nearby and
it is a protectd area, there
were flocks of wild geese
landing near the house. The
didn't seem to be very
nervous of people, and were
almost in the way when they
were moving in.
A special Rally Day service
was held in Varna Church
op Sunday, when the Sunday
School students were promot-
ed to their new classes. The
superintendents, Mrs. Eric
Chuter and Mrs. Tom C'onsitt
presented Robert Raikes dipl-
omas and seals to those stud-
ents who had good attend-
ance records.
