News of Varna Area
Several girls from Varna took
part in a fashion show which was
presented by the Grade 7 and
8 girls of Huron Centennial
School. It was held on June 11
in the school auditorium. Com-
mentators for the show were
Julie Armstrong, Dianne Wilson,
Jane Allen and Laura Taman.
The clothes they modeled had
been made in their home econom-
ics classes under the supervis-
ion of Mrs. Ila Mathers of the
Seaforth School.
For many it was their first
attempt at sewing, and most of
them did excellent work. Shown
were slacks for all occasions
from dressy to casual, and in
fabrics ranging from polyester
and corduroys to brushed denim.
Most of the skirts were in the new
gently flared style, in lengths
