Crediton couple
married 50 years
Mr. and Mrs. William M.
Schwartz celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary, Friday,
March 28, at Zion United
Church with Open House in the
Fellowship Rooms in the after-
noon and evening.
The rooms were decorated
with daffodils, golden orna-
ments, a bouquet of 50 yellow
roses, and the cards of congrat-
ulation which had been receiv-
ed.
Friends and relatives were
present from Detroit, London,
Watford, Stratford, Waterloo,
Hamilton, Exeter, Woodham,
Clinton, Zurich, Dashwood,
Grand Bend, Hensall, Cent-
ralia and Elimville.
Rev. Fred Faist, Stratford,
spoke briefly and offered pray-
er. Rev. and Mrs. Douglas
Warren came from London for
the occasion. Jack Riddell,
M.P.P. for Huron, presented
a plaque on behalf of the prov-
ince and Premier William Dav-
is sent greetings,
William M. Schwartz and
Alma Louise Finkbeiner were
united in marriage by Rev.
W. Drier March 28, 1925, at
the parsonage in Crediton. Roy
Schwartz, brother of the groom,
and Nola Faist, cousin of the
bride, were attendants. They
farmed near Crediton until
1967 when they moved t� the
village.
The couple have two daught-
ers and a son; Ruth, Mrs. Ted
Insley of Woodham, Doris at
home, and Claire of R.R.2,
Crediton, There are five
grandchildren.
