Minor Hockey day
THEDFORD 5 - ZURICH 4
On Saturday, February 22,
Zurich came out on the short
end in a rough tough game
against Thedford. Zurich open-
ed the scoring when Jeff McKin-
non and Greg Kirk assisted
Kerry Bedard in getting his first.
Before the period ended, Wilde
scored for Thedford. Each team
scored twice in the second per-
iod. Kerry Bedard got his sec-
ond goal from Robert Willert,
then Kris and Kerry Bedard
assisted on a goal by Robert
Willert. Thedford's goals came
from Seppel and Wilde. In the
third period Thedford scored
twice more from Schram and
Wilde with his third, then
Zurich's last goal came from
Kris Bedard assisted by Jini
Willert and Kerry Bedard.
ZURICH 4 - BAYFIELD 3
The Mites gave it all they
had and carne up with a win in
the dying seconds of the game,
Dean Armstrong scored all four
goals but the others helped
greatly as time and time again
they checked Bayfield's players
and Kaman Bedard made many
a save in goal.

Mrs. Jessie Rader and. Mrs.
Greta Schade have returned
home following a two week
tour of Florida. They accomp-
anied Mrs. Gwen Rader and
children to Florida, returning
by plane.
Rev. Bruce Guy is a patient
in South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Maine,
Kitchener, were weekend visit-
ors with Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold
Miller.
4H MEETING
Dashwood 4-H girls club II
held their second meeting at
Dashwood Community Centre
with 14 girls present. All the
girls agreed to call the club
"Busy Basters." Styles to suit
the figure and the line of the
garment were discussed. The
girls brought fabric samples
which they exchanged with each
other and observed.
Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Tie -
man attended the gift show in
Toronto over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Pedersen,
who are both celebrating birth-
days this week received the
following telegram from their
son, Sgt. Loric Pedersen, who
is on duty in Tel Aviv, Israel."
"happy Birthday Mom and Dad,
love, Loric.
Mrs. Karen Nolan, Califor-
nia, arrived by plane, in Lond-
on, Tuesday to spend some
time with Mr, and Mrs. Oluf
Pedersen and family.
MEN'S CLUB
The Dashwood Men's club
held their monthly dinner
meeting Monday, February 24,
with farmer's as guests. There
were 65 in attendance. Guest
speaker, Carl Hnilica, of the
CNA Insurance Company, spoke
on insurance.
There were 14 tables in play
at the euchre sponsored by
Dashwood W.I. Tuesday, Feb-
ruary 18. Winners were, ladies
high, Mrs. Aaron Resternayer;
low, Mrs. Valentine Becker;
men's high, 13111 Chandler; low,
Mrs. Bill Watson; lone hands,
Mrs. Mary Moser; Hidden score,
Patricia McMartin. This prize
was donated by Ward Neeb of
Zurich.

Obituary
EDMUND F, KRAFT
A resident of Dashwood,
Edmund A. Kraft, passed away
at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lond-
on, on Saturday, February 22,
in his 81st year.
His wife, the late Ellanora
Willert predeceased him in
1968.
Surviving are two children,
Mrs. Elgin (Dorothy) Rader, of
Dashwood and Harold Kraft, of
London. He was the brother of
Mrs. Victor (Lucinda) Heywood
of Exeter and Mrs. Dora Stadel-
bauer, of London.
The body rested at the T.
Harry Hoffman Funeral Horne,
Dashwood, until Tuesday noon,
Funeral service was officiated
by Rev. K. Hahn at Zion Luth-
eran Church, Dashwood at 2:30
p. in. Interment was in Zion
Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard,
Kenneth and Brian Rader,
Terry Martin, Jim Becker and
Peter Kraft.
