INTERESTING HAPPENINGS IN ONTARIO'S PRETTIEST VILLAGE
4-H CLUBS
The two Bayfield 4-1-1 Clubs
attended Achievement Day for
"club Girl Entertains, " held in
the Zurich Public School on
Saturday, January 4.
Bayfield I did an exhibit
"Tea for Two" and Bayfield
Two performed a skit entitled
"The Party, " Shirley Brandon
received her county honours
for having completed six Clubs.
The next Club for the Bayfield
girls is slated to start around
the first of March and will be
called "What Shall I Wear."
The main context of the club
will be making a cotton blouse.
ANGLICAN CHURCH
Thursday evening, January
9, members of Trinity Anglican
Church gathered in the Parish
Hall to partake of beans and
ham, prepared by the menfolk
of the church. Following the
enjoyable repast, the Annual
Vestry meeting ,was called.
Reports were presented by
the Rector, Church Wardens,
Board of Management, Envelope
Secretary, Treasurer, The ACW,
The Ladies Guild, Chancel
Guild, Sunday School, Finance
Committee and the Auditors.
Mr. Harry Baker and Brig.
Morgan Smith as the nominating
committee, brought in the
following slate of officers for
1975 which were accepted; -
People's Warden, Harry Baker,
Board members (6) Robert
Turner, Ernest Hovey, Mrs.
Greta Du Boulay, Mrs. Mary
Shepherd, Mrs. Edith Smith,
J. Brown Higgins.
Lay Delegates to Synod (2)
Gordon Graham, Philip Du
Boulay. Alternate Lay Delegates
to Synod (2) Harry Baker, Brig.
Morgan Smith. In addition to
the above, the Rector takes
pleasure in appointing the
following in accordance with
Canon 19, para 2. Rector's
Warden, Brig, Morgan Smith,
Members, Mrs. Bessie Hulls,
Mrs. Milvena Erickson, Mrs.
Helen LeBeau and Philip Du
Boulay. The Rector also reserves
the right to appoint two further
members at his discretion at
some later date.
Miss Barbara Clift returned to
her home in Ottawa after spend-
ing two weeks with her parents,
Brig. and Mrs. Fred Clift.
Mr. Norman F. Cooper,
Mount Clemens, Michigan was
at Hs Village home for the
weekend.
Mr. Steve Rath and Cathy of
London were Sunday visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Rob Irwin
and Robbie,
Miss Barbara Davidson of Wind-
sor and London and Mr. Bud
Sturgeon, London, were week -

Deadline close
Only nine percent of Ontario's
motorists have purchased their
licence plate renewal stickers
since they went on sale Dec-
ember 2, according to the
Ministry of Transportation
and Communications.
If you are one of those who
have not yet purchased their
renewal stickers, there is every
prospect of finding yourself
end guests of his parents and
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jack B.
Sturgeon and Andrew.
Mr, Norman Brown, London
was at his cottage for the
weekend.

after all the controversy over
the flashing signal has been
duly installed and should prev-
ent further accidents on that
cur ve.

The best laid plans of mice and
men (and correspondents) some-
times go awry,
standing in one of the last
minute line-ups that occur
during the last week of Feb-
ruary.
Fees for 1975 remain at $23
for a 4 -cylinder car; $32 for
6 -cylinders; $40 for an 8 -cyl-
inder vehicle; and $5 for trail-
ers.
The deadline for having 1975
stickers on automobile plates
is February 28; on trailer plates,
March 31.
