Congratulations to Mack and
Janet Webster on the birth of
their son, Mark Robert.
There were only seven tables
of euchre at the first L,O.L.
card party of the season in the
township hall on Friday even-
ing. Prizes were won by Doroth-
y Weston of Bayfield, ladies'
high; Nora Heard of Varna,
ladies' low; Charles Reid of
Varna, men's high; Ed Godkin
of Clinton, men's low. Draw
prizes went to Phyllis Heard of
Bayfield, Bob Dalrymple of
Brucefield, Flora Dowson and
Louis Taylor of Varna,
There will be another euchre
party in two weeks on Decem-
ber 10.
Friends of Mrs. John Ostrom
will be pleased to know she has
returned home from hospital.

Mr. & Mrs. Sheldon Gould,
Windsor, spent the weekend with
Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Chandler,
Mrs. Adella (Bammie) Fisher
has been transferred from South
Huron Hospital, Exeter, where
she was a patient for five months,
to Seaforth Manor Nursing
Home.
Mr. & Mrs. Art Haugh and their
daughter, Mrs. Jean Hartman,
London spent Friday with Miss
Pearl Kraft. Art also visited with
his brother, Milt Haugh.
Visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Lorne
Genttner last week were Mr. &
Mrs. Frank Carpenter, Pontiac,
Mich.; Mr. & Mrs. Sam Danard
Ortonville, Mich.; and Mr. &
Mrs. George Fulcher, Etobicoke.
Along with Mr, & Mrs. Genttner,
they all attended the funeral of
their uncle, Robert J. MacLean,
Ailsa Craig, Friday.
Mr. & Mrs. Don Lockhart,
London, were Monday visitors
with Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Genttner.
Mr. & Mrs. Eric Wolfe and
family, London, were weekend
guests with Mr. & Mrs. Stuart
Wolfe.
Mr. & Mrs. Howard Datars
attended the Grey Cup game in
Toronto, Sunday.

Mrs. Ross Love's group was in
charge of the program. Clarence
Down, Exeter, showed films on
Iceland which everyone really
enjoyed. Mrs. Love and Mrs.
Charles Martene had a songette.
There was also a sing song. The
next meeting will be a potluck
supper, December 13. Cards were
played.
Datars family. Her mother, Mrs.
Ted Webb visited there Sunday
and Michelle returned home with
her.
Eben and Martha Weigand held
a dinner party for 30 neighbors
and friends. Following dinner,
euchre was played with winners,
Greta Restemayer and Ray
Cockwill; low, Willis Walper and
Louis Weigand. Bingo was also
played. A good time was had by

Dashwood Mens' Club held
their dinner meeting, Monday
November 29 catered to by Dash-
wood W.I. Guest speaker, Jeff
Knight spoke on the advantages
of being a Canadian and the New
Horizon grants for Senior
Citizens projects. He hoped there
would be better communication
and understanding in bridging
the generation gap.
Senior Citizens
Thirty-two were present for the
November meeting of Dashwood
Senior Citizens. In the absence of
the president, vice-president,
Charles Martene presided.
Discussion was grants and things
hey might apply for.
CELEBRATES — Louis
Restemayer of Dashwood
celebrated his 90th birthday on
November 25. Mr. Restemayer
farmed on Concession 14 in Hay
township until he moved to his
present home in Dashwood in

Stanley fall dance success
Stanley Township Recreation
Committee met at the Township
Hall on Wednesday evening,
November 24.
The Fall Dance was a great
success and thanks to all who
helped.
A storage building for the ball
park was discussed at length,
and inquiries will be made as
to what is necessary.
A Christmas Party for sen-
iors will be held at the town-
ship hall on December 15th
from 2 to 4. There will be lots
of fun, food and prizes, so it
is hoped all seniors will come
and bring their friends. If you
wish a ride, please contact a
committee member. There is
no charge for this party.
It is hoped if there is enough
interest that basketball, volley-
ball, etc. can be arranged for
after the New Year.
