Camel and Bingo. The Elves
and Fairies Sixer brought
cookies and Melanie Van
Patter's mom made a special
treat of Hallowe'en cupcakes.
They were all given treats and
sang the Brownie good-bye
song.
Lions club

The annual Hallowe'en Party
sponsored by the Lions club was
very successful with a great
variety of costumes and many
on -lookers who came "as you
are". There were prizes for the
fanciest costumes and the fun-
niest costume. Each child was
given a treat at the end of the
party.
Hallowe'en
masueradedance
The Hallowe'en Masquerade
Dance held at the Arena, spon-
sored by the Lioness club was
very well attended with the
majority in costume. Prizes
were awarded for the best
costumes. The music was
supplied by Disco Jockey Un-
limited from London. Everyone
enjoyed a real fun evening.
Ever Young club
The Bayfield Ever Young
Club met in the Municipal
Building on Thursday, October
28 with 39 answering the roll
call. President Harry Baker
opened the meeting asking for
the singing of 0' Canada fol-
lowed by repeating the Lord's
Prayer in unison. Plans were
made for the annual Christmas
Party to be held in St. Andrews
United Church on Decmeber
28.
The president gave a full
account as to how the remaining
money from Horizons had been
spent.
A name "Lakeview Manor"
was suggested for the new
Senior Citizens Home and a
committee asked to bring the
matter before the proper board.
Following the meeting euchre
was enjoyed by all and Happy
Birthday sung to three mem-
bers. Lunch ended a very enjoy-
able evening. The next meeting
will be November 25.

children had their own Hallowe'en party Friday morning and
Baptist women's
fellowship
Monthly meeting of the
B.W.M.F. was held Tuesday
evening in the Bayfield Baptist
Church with a good attendance.
The president, Mrs. Muriel
Snider was in charge of the
meeting which was opened with
a Hymn with Miss Shirley
Keys at the piano followed with
prayer by Mrs. Lillian Steckle.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read and adopted. The
donations for the Huronview
residents sale are to be ready
for the next meeting; also the
used clothing for the mission.
Mrs. Phyllis Nicholson was
elected vice-president and Mrs.
Gladys Talbot secretary -
treasurer for the remainder of
the year.
The guest speaker was Miss
Evelyn Schell from the Cana-
dian Sunday School Mission,
Ayer's Cliff, Quebec and told of
the Mission work in that area,
mostly about the summer camp
work at Caxnp Livingston.
Mrs. Ann, Kerr thanked the
speaker and then she was
presented with a variety of
gifts in appreciation. A tasty
lunch was served by the girls in
charge.
BAYFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH
Miss Evelyn Schell was guest
soloist at both services of the
Bayfield Baptist Church on
Sunday. In the morning service
with Mrs. Muriel Snider at the
piano, Miss Schell sang "Soon-
er or . later" which was also
the theme of the sermon by
the Pastor, Rev. Brian Har-
rison.
The beautiful flower arrange-
ment in the Church was placed
there by Mr. Ray Schell and
family in memory of Mrs. Ray
Schell who went to be with
the Lord one year ago.
After the evening service a
fireside social hour was spent it
the Church basement with lige:
refreshments.
