Mr. and Mrs, Ross Merrill,
Bayfield and Mrs. Mary Elliott,
Theciford, motored to Sudbury
Thursday to help Mr. and Mrs.
Brian Merrill move to their new
residence in Ottawa. Brian will
be employed by the Department
of Transport Coast Guard Heli-
copter Division.
Mr. Ray Schell and his
daughter, Miss Evelyn Schell
spent Sunday, October 23 at
Braemar where Miss Schell
spoke to the Sunday School.
They also visited with Mr,
Schell's other daughters, Mrs.
Irene Jull in Burford and Mrs.
Effie Freeman, Woodstock. Mr.
Schell and Evelyn also called
on Mrs. Elsie Schell in Gadshill
last Friday.
Miss Evelyn Schell has now
returned to her home in Ayer's
Cliff, Quebec after spending
two weeks in the village.
Deanna and Marshal Talbot'
of St. Thomas spent the week
end with their grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Norm Talbot.

Michigan.
Cpl. Jack Huffman from
Courtney, B.C. visited his
brother and sister-in-law Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Huffman,
Vernoica and Crystal. Cpl.
Huffman was on a stop -over on
his way to Scotland on a buy-
ing trip for his Scottish Import
store.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Talbot,
Karen and Kathy visited their
cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Ranold
Dunning, Sandra and Jeffrey
in • Woodstock for a Birthday
party for Bill Talbot, Sandra
Dunning and Sandra's grand-
mother, Mrs. Effie Freeman.

On Monday, October 18,
1976 The Bionic Barley's met at
Mrs. Ann Chapman's home for
their fourth meeting.
We opened with the 4-11
Club Pledge and the roll call.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read by Cheryl Dunn.
Mrs. Phoenix led a discussion
on the different kinds of flour
that are available and had a few
samples to show us.
Mrs. Chapman demonstrated
the proceedure for making plain
muffins, then Mary Lynn Tal-
bot and Ante 'Haw tried their
hand at making Bran muffins.
They all turned out great and
each tasted a sample of each
kind.
The meeting closed with the
4-H Motto.
On Monday, October 25 the
Bionic Barley's met for their
fifth meeting at Mrs. Carleen
Phoenix's home.
Twelve girls answered the
roll call.
• They discussed the different
shapes • and' forms of pastas
that are available and • it
turns out there are quite a few.
Mrs. Chapman also showed
us how we can use cereals
"Around the Clock" in each of
our meals.
We had a busy night cook-
ing. First of all Anne Talbot
and Patty Greer made the
tomato -meat sauce. Mrs. Phoe-
nix demonstrated how to cook
the Lasagna noodles and then
how to make Lasagna, While
this was in the oven Sheri
Phoenix and Dawn Merner
made PeanutCrispies.
They all tasted the finished
products and nearly everyone
enjoyed them.
The 4-11 Motto was repeated
to close the meeting.

They met at Mrs. Joan
Merner's home Wednesday,
October 27, at four o'clock
for their second meeting.
The meeting was opened with
the 4-11 pledge, the roll call
was "My record of cereal and
bread eaten for one day". There
was one new member, Cathy
Merner,
They discussed wheat grain
and the parts in it. Dogwoods
were made. The next meeting
is to be held at Mrs. Joan
Merner's home, Thursday, Oc-
tober 28 at four o'clock,
On Thursday they held their
third meeting at the home of
Mrs, Joan Merner. The meeting
was opened with the 4-H
pledge and roll call which was
"Popular cereal

in my home". Most answered
".Shreddies".
At this meeting they made
nuts and bolts which took an
hour to cook. They also made
cherry bran squares which had
to bake 45 minutes.
They discussed the chart
which was called "Cereals
in many forms".
The next meeting is to be at
the home of Mrs. Joan Merner,
Monday, November 1, 1976 at
four o'clock.

The Bayfield Brownies had a
Hallowe'en Party on Wednes-
day night. Mrs. Snell and Mrs.
Knights were the judges. The
prize winners for fancy cost-
umes were: Kelly Knights,
