Photo by McKinley Anglican church women The regular meeting of St. Paul's A.C.W. was held at the Rectory in Exeter on Thursday afternoon. The president, Mrs. Forrest opened the meeting with the Members Prayer. The Invocation was read from "The Living Word". The scripture was taken by Mrs. Annie Read, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Win- dover. Rev. Anderson gave the Meditation. Secretary, Mrs. Helen Roberts read the minutes of the last meeting. Roll call was ansered with the word "be" in a Bible verse. Dona- tions in lieu of the Bazaar and Bake Sale were received. As many as possible were urged to attend the Fall Deanery meeting at St. James. Strat- ford, on November 15. Annie Reid gave the study book, "The Last Key Opens the Door". An article "On killing a committee," was read. The meeting closed with prayer. Bran Muppets Meeting four of Hensall 4-H III Club, the Bran Muppets, was held on Tuesday evening at the home of Linda Gerstenkorn. The roll call, "my recipe using a ready -to eat cereal:' was answered by eight girls. In discussion group we discussed flour, its many kinds and uses. We learned the common trou- bles of muffin making the main one being over mixing. Mrs. Pepper demonstrated bran muffins which were enjoyed with jam and a glass of milk. The 4-H girls are going to be selling Remembrance pop- pies in the village on Saturday, November 6. NOTICE OF NOMINATION Nominations of Separate School Supporters will be received by the undersigned for representation on the Huron County Board of Education. Nominees may be from any of the following municipalities: Townships of Stephen, Usborne, Hay Stanley, Tuckersmith and Goderich Town of Exeter and Villages of Hensall, Bayfield and Zurich (One representative to be elected to the Huron County Board of Education.) The nomination period will commence on • November 10th, 1976 and will conclude on Novem- ber 15th, 1976 at 5:00 p.m. NOTE: The required nomination form must be used and may be obtained at the Hay Township Office. Horner Clerk -Treasurer Township of Hay Ticket sales high for Playhouse "Subscription ticket sales have doubled over this time last year" reports Huron Country Playhouse Publicity Director Peter Caldwell. The seating capacity has been increased each season for the last four years. In 1976, an additional 9,700 seats were created by adding a preview and a matinee performance each week. This coming year, 4,600 new seats will be created by the addition of yet one more performance weekly, bringing the number of per- formances to seven each week. In 1977 the Playhouse hopes to fill 80 percent of its 32,000 seats, Volunteer members of the Guild are helping to prepare the special Christmas gift sub- scription folders for mailing early in November. Playhouse subscription tickets offer patrons 6 vouchers to be used at the show (or shows) of their choice. Prices increase after the New Year; Playhouse supporters may make a savings by buying now.
