PAYNE Mr, and Mrs. Sim Roobal were very disappointed to find that their Canadian Flag had been taken away one night last week. Mrs. Elizabeth Alexander, Mrs. Rosa Harris and Mrs. Carl Payne have returned from a most interesting tour of the Eastern Provinces. While in Charlottetown they attended the Federated Women's Institute of Canada Tri -annual Convention for two days and heard the president of the Associated Coun- try Women of the World, Mrs. Olive Farquharson, O.B.E. and the Canadian President of W.I., Mrs. J.A. McLean speak. Mrs. Gordon Love has returned from. visiting with her family in Lindsay and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The first Hensall combined Summer Services was held at the United Church on Sunday morn Ing with Rev. Don Beck in the pulpit and Mrs. John Turkheim at the organ, The subject of the sermon' was, "Take the Good News"—all Christians should take action and- help to spread the Gospel. The choir sang the anthem, "We Adore Thee". Miss Robin McLellan, Kippen, passed her Preliminary Rudiment Examination of the Royal Con servatory .of Music with first class honours. She is a pupil of Miss Greta Lammie, Hensall. Town visitors were Mrs. Bona Clark, Mrs. Susan Prudy, Sandra McCurdy, Barbara Stretton, Der- ek Robinson, Jamie McClinchey, Richard McToosie and David Skea. Pym Reunion The 44th Annual gathering of the Pym family, was held on Sunday in Riverview Park, Exet- er, with approximately 40 in attendance. President, Tony Shulman welcomed all those attending. Results of the sports are as follows. There was a candy contest for all ages. Kick the slipper in a basket under sixteen, Pauline Pym; boys, Bradley Shulman; men's Toni Roberts; ladies, Kathleen Grubb.
