The U.C.W. of St, Andrew's
Church, Kippen niet in the church
for the regular February meeting.
Mrs. Laird Finlayson opened the
meeting with the worship. Mrs.
David Cooper presided over the
business meeting and it was
decided to hold two bake sales,
dates to be announced later,
Mrs. Edison McLean gave the
topic. Courtesy remarks were
given and a dainty lunch was
served by the hostesses, Mrs.
Bert Faber and Mrs. Harold
Jones with Mrs. Tom Reid
assisting.
KIPPEN EAST W.I.
The Citizenship meeting of
Kippen East W.I. was held at
the home of Mrs. Grace Drum-
mond with Mrs. Robert Kinsman
as co -hostess.
The president opened the
meeting with the poem, "Seed
Catalogue." The roll call was
"One question I would like to
ask my municipal council, was
answered by beefs concerning
road conditions, Vanastra and day
care centres.
Mrs. .1- mes Chalmers com-
mented on the motto, "Be kind
to the aged, they have come a
long way, help the young for they
have a long way to go." Mrs.

Grace Drummond gave several
readings. The humorous skit,
"The Census Taker," was perf-
ormed by Mrs. Al Hoggarth and
Mrs. Grace Drummond.
The members will entertain
at Huronview on March 10 in
the afternoon and at the Blue
Water Rest Home in the evening
of the same day.
Mrs. Charles Eyre gave cur-
rent events and courtesy remarks.
Mrs. James Chalmers conducted
a contest. Lunch was served
by Mrs. M. Connolly and Mrs.
Janes Chalmers.
There was a lively discussion
on seat belts and hospital clos-
ings.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Workman
have returned from a trip to
Mexico.
Mrs. Ruth Dickert, Harriston,
is visiting her sister, Mrs. Norm-
an Dickert.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGregor
and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hugill
left Saturday for a trip to Florida.
A number of Kippen UCW
entertained the patients at the
Queensway Hone with a sing-
song accompanied by Mrs. Ross
Broadfoot and bingo.
Mr. Jack Cooper, Douglas
Point visited with his parents

4-H LEADERS MEET - The recent Provincial 4-H Leaders' Conference in Toronto enables delegates

Kinsmen plan bowling party
The regular meeting of the
Kinsmen Club of Hensall and
District was held at the Cosy
Corner Restaurant on February
18, at 7:30 p.m. Vice-president
Paul Morrison chaired the meet-
ing in the absence of president
Dave Schurman.
Discussion was held regard-
ing a town crest and secretary
Bob Heil reported he would have
more information for the next
meeting. Allan Brokenshire chair-
man of the Elimination draw
reported tickets were being print-
ed for this event. Following the
business meeting fellowship was
held at the home of Butch Hoff-
man.
The next regular meeting of
the Kinsmen Club of Hensall and
District will be held March 3
at the Cosy Corner Restaurant
at 7:30 p.m. Fellowship. will be
at Bob Heil's residence.
The Kinsmen and Kinettes
have planned a Bowling Party
for March 6 at the Exeter Bowling
Lancs.
