We also wish to thank all who have been so generous throughout the year with visits, programmes, donations to the craft room and kitchen, which all goes to make our big family a happier and more contented one. No doubt most of us are hoping that some of our snow will stay with us but just enough so that we will have a white Christmas. Weather permitting, some of our residents hope to go out to celebrate Christmas with their families. On Wednesday afternoon the girls of the Explorer group from Exeter United Church visited along with some of the Mothers, Rev. Glen Wright and Rev. Harold Snell. The girls sang several Christmas carols during the Residents' supper hour ac- companied on the violin by Rev. Snell and on the saxophone by Rev. Wright. The girls provided the desserts and also served them. Everyone enjoyed the music, the visits and all the goodies. Although the birthday party for December was postponed until a later date, residents having birthdays during December and receiving gifts, courtesy of the Ladies Auxiliary were Miss Viola Cadger, Miss Milverna Geiger, Mrs. Mabel Gossman, Miss Cecil McLeod, Mrs. Dora Waghorn and Mrs. Etta Young. I would like to remind the members of the Ladies Auxiliary that the first meeting of the New Year will be held on Tuesday evening, January 3 at 7:00 p.m. Please note that this is an evening rather . than afternoon meeting. Bingo was played on Friday evening followed by refresh- ments. The Sunday evening chapel service was conducted by Rev. Clayton Kuepfer of the Zurich Mennonite church, Golden Agers mark season By MRS. L. PRANG About forty members of the Zurich Golden Agers were in attendance at the Christmas party held recently in Zurich. Members were lead in the singing of Christmas carols by Mr. and Mrs. Milton Oesch and enjoyed a poem on growing old that was read by Mrs. Frank Kane. A variety of games were played for the evenings' entertainments. A crimpoline cushion was the lucky door prize and was won by Maurice Durand. Other lucky prizes were won by Mra Victor Dinnin — number of beans in a jar ; Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Haberer wedding anniversary nearest day; Mrs, Lorne Klopp —December birthday, Mrs. Ferd Haberer -=- lucky cup and Mrs. Lorne Klopp — special table napkin. After lunch, gifts were ex- changed. The spirit of Christmas is in the air, ringing out joy and good will. T/e take this time to extend to all greetings and thanks.
