At Christmas, a special prayer:
May mankind be blessed with "Peace on
Earth." And a special wish: May
your personal Christmas be a most happy one.

the December meeting of the
Hensall Women's Institute held in
the Legion Hall on Wednesday.
Originality and the use of many
varying materials gave all many
ideas how to brighten our homes
tor Christmas and make gifts for
others.
The business was conducted by
the president, Mrs. Cecil Pepper
and the financial report showed a
balance of $133.39. A note of
appreciation from Eric Luther of
the C.N.I.B. campaign was given
by Mrs. Carl Payne and a letter
from the home economist was
read, regarding the next 4H
course, "Focus on Living".
Mrs. Nan Britton conducted a
sing -song of carols and
programme conveners were Mrs.
William Rogerson and Mrs.
Gladys Coleman. Hostesses, Mrs.
Rosa Harris and Mrs. Annie Reid
served an excellent Christmas
lunch. A few antiques were shown
during the social hour.
At the end of the programme,
Mrs. Eileen Rannie, Mrs. Winnie
Skea and Mrs. Elizabeth
Alexander presented the 4H
leaders with gifts in appreciation
of the work they had done with
the girls. Brenda Pepper
displayed her six certificates
leading up to obtaining
Provincial Honours and was
given a gift for bringing this
honour to Hensel! for the first
time.
