has met to consider financial
assistance for Terry Bulle-n for
his large expenses on the recent
manslaughter charge of which he
was acquitted. Contributions
may be sent to "The Terry Bullen
Defence Fund", Bayfield
Ontario. NOM 1GO. Return ad-
dress should be enclosed for
receipt, but donors will remain
anonymous.
Discuss Church Decorations
The Chancel Guild of Trinity
Church met Tuesday afternoon,
at the home of Mrs. Vera Turner.
The president, Mrs, Lillian
Higgins opened the meeting by
the repeating of the Lords Prayer
Bayfield
by Mi)lvena Erickson
and members prayed in unison.
Mrs. Pat Van Patter read a
scripture reading from the 4th
chapter of Philippians . Mrs.
Higgins spoke of the dedication of
the members and thanked Mrs.
Turner and Mrs. Vera
McLaughlin for their clever work
and willingness in creating the
frontals and hangings for the
altar, pulpit and reading desk
made from Portuguese tapestry.
The roll call and minutes of the
previous meeting were read by
Mrs.. Vina Parker and the
treasurers report given by Mrs.
Helen LeBeau.
During the business session,

decorating of the Church for
Christmas, The members
learned that Mrs. Agnes
Cameron has offered a tree and
Gordon Graham the hay for the
Creche. The decorating will be
done December 17 at 10 a.m. Bob
and Vera Turner offered to make
the garland for the roodscreen.
Anyone wishing to donate
towards flowers is asked to
contact, treasurer, Mrs. Helen
LeBeau. Donors names will be
printed in the bulletin. The Carol
Service will be held on Sunday
morning, December 18. Rev,
William Bennett, rector of
Trinity was guest speaker and he
spoke on the four main parts of
the Church; the vestibule, nave,
chancel and sanctuary. He dealt
with the care of the sanctuary,
the credence table to the right
and the bishop's chair to the left.
He instructed the women in some
of the duties and expressed his
thankfulness for the care of the
communion table.
The members expressed their
thanks to the Rector and also to
Miss Kay Reid for the new cor-
poral and the green corded
ribbon fringe and crosses which
she had brought from Windsor
from a fund not functioning now.
A new credence cloth is being
made and embroidered by a
friend of Miss Reid's who is in-
capacitated but dedicated.
Seniors Feast
The Bayfield Ever Young Club
held their annual Christmas
Party in St. Andrew's United
Church on Friday evening. Over
60 members and guests sat down
to a bountiful turkey dinner in the
Sunday School room, beautifully
decorated for the season. Mrs.
Milvena Erickson ,made and
donated the table favours and
also two candy angels. These
angels were wqi by Mrs. Nora
Orr and Mrs. Beulah Smith.
Rev. William Bennett was the
guest speaker, Mrs.. Lillian
Higgins was at the piano for the

singing of Uarols, led by Mrs,
Mary Nediger. Following this two
short movies were shown by
Charlie Scotchmer and Mr. Len
Carter thanked the ladies of the
U.C.W. for their delightful meal.
Auxiliary to hold supper
The Ladies Auxiliary to Scouts,
Cubs and Brownies met in St.
Andrew's United church,
Saturday morning with President
Jean Dunn presiding. She opened
the meeting by leading in the
repeating of the Lords Prayer.
Mrs. Dunn took the opportunity
to thank everyone for their
support and baking for the
Country Fair which proved very
successful.
During the business session,
the members arranged a Family
Night to be held on Saturday Jan.
14 with a pot-luck.supper to start
at 6:30 p.m. (location to be an-
nounced at a later date). It is
hoped that each group will
demonstrate some activity in
which they are involved.
Mrs. Bornath has offered to
demonstrate Broom crocheting
at a "Fun Night", set for Tuesday
evening, March 7 78 at 8 p.m. in
the basement of St, Andrew's.
United Church. Those interested
are asked to bring a wooden
spoon or a broom handle a
crochet hook and some wool.
Members are to take a wrapped
article worth 50 cents for a Fish
Pond; and also any used patterns
