two games,
here Sunday
On Thursday evening the
Zurich Flyers travelled to Huron
Park and lost to the young and
aggressive CCAT team 6-2.
In a game which featured 31
penalities called, the Flyers were
held off the score sheet until the
third period when Wayne Clarke
with an assist from Bob
Farquhar put one past the
Centralia goalie.
Shortly afterwards, the Flyers
found the range again, with Ron
Rader scoring. Steve Bedour and
Marty Becker assisted on the
goal. •
Jim McGee and Kim McKinnon
of the Flyers, were named the
game's two stars.
Sunday afternoon the Flyers
faced their old rivals, the Grand
Bend Colonials but once again
were thwarted in their efforts to
gain ground in the league stan-
dings losing 6-4.
Again the lack of goal
production in the first period
enabled the opposing team to
jump off to a lead which they
never relinquished.
Steve Bedour put the Flyers
back into the game with a goal in
the second period. Kim and
Randy McKinnon assisted.
In the third period Kevin
McKinnon scored an authentic
hat trick with three straight goals
with Ron Desjardine assisting on
the first two goals and Wayne
Clarke on the third score.
The two stars of the game were
Paul McQuire of the Colonials
and Kevin McKinnon of the
Flyers.
The Flyers next game is this
Sunday when they take on
Thedf ord.
