Plan musicale at Hensall Have you ever really been aware of the strange and won- derful powers that lie hidden in the songs we hum and sing and play? This is the type of introduction in store for all spectators at the November 6 musicale being presented at the Hensall United Church on Sunday, November 6. Providing the special musical entertainment will be the Brant Men of Song and the Brant Belle 'A' Dears. The combined choirs under the direction of Gary Woodward are composed of 70 non-professional singers from all walks of life. In providing a community ,service they strive to maintain a high standard of performance. Members devote many hours in rehearsal for the joy and fellowhip of singing. Music director Gary Woodward is organist and choir director at Marlboro United Church and a secondary school teacher In July, 1976, the choirs flew to Britain on a three week goodwill concert tour of England,. Scotland and Wales. They are presently active supporting Brantford's Centennial celebrations end are raising $25,000 for a Canada West tour in the summer of 1978. Year by year, from generation to generation for more than a . century popular songs have kept alive the memories of the past. "They're playing our song" is a recognition of the marvelous musical treasure house which has been building decade upon decade and which still continues to accumulate today. The Brant singers will be presenting many nostalgic . memories of musical magic which will bring smiles to the Hensall audience, November 6.
