While "there they visited with Mr. & Mrs. George Lindsay in Fredericton,New Brunswick, and had a chance meeting with Mr. & Mrs. John Lindsay in Sum- s merside, P.E.I. The John Lind - says were also holidaying on the east coast. Rev. Harold Snell (retired) of Exeter occupied the pulpit in St. Andrew's United Church Sunday at 11 a.m. Ushers were Ray Cox and Bill Cox. The choir was under the direction, of organist Mrs. Molly Cox. Those children who missed registration on Saturday morning for Scouts, Brownies or Cubs, may register at the first meeting on Saturday morning, October 1 at 10 am. The Scouts will meet in the basement of the United Church, the Cubs in the Municipal Building and the Brownies in the Anglican Church Parish Hall. All the groups will meet on Saturday mornings from 10 am to 11:30 am. Mrs. Maude Weston, Bayfield librarian, has announced that Mrs. Hinton will be conducting a story hour for pre-schoolers and kindergarten youngsters in the Library from 10 am until 11 am every Tuesday morning. You are invited to bring your children. Dr. Michael and Mrs. Bennett and children, Erin, Jeanne, Martha and Rhys of London and Miss Sally Bennett, also of London, were weekend guests of their parents, Rev. William and Mrs. Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Leitch of Goderich visited her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Orr, on Tuesday. Mr. & Mrs. W.E. Parker, ac- companied by Mr. & Mrs. C. Merritt of Sarnia, were on a "Colour Tour" to Muskoka Best wishes to Mrs. Mabel Handy of Seaforth, who had' her vision restored following 'eye surgery in Sarnia General Hospital last week. Mrs. Handy is fhe mother of Mrs. Margaret Garrett and grandmother of Diane and John Garrett. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Aberhart of Sarnia were at their cottage on Bayfield Terrace for a few days. Mr. Renouf Johns of Mount Clemens, Michigan, spent several days at his home in the village. Mrs. W. Earl has returned to her home in London after visiting 10 days with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Eric W. Earl. Mr. & Mrs. Delford Altman of Orangeville visited on the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Margaret Garrett, Diane and John. The clergy and their wives of South Saugeen deanery met at the home of Rev. William and Mrs. Bennett for a barbecue and an enjoyable get together last Friday. Congratulations to Kelso Fitzsimons and his new bride Marie (Betties). They were married Saturday September 24, in Holmesville United Church. Mrs. Lulu Smith accompanied her brother, Ward Jewell, to Kingsville, where they visited for a few days recently with their brother, Rev. Fred Jewell and family. It was with regret that we learned of the accident in which Rev. and Mrs. Reddoch, as well as their daughter-in-law were involved during their vacation. Mrs. Scott of St. Thomas visited her sister Mrs. Lillian Penhale for a few days in Clan Gregor Apartments. Sargent to be inducted Trinity Anglican Church celebrated Holy Communion at 8 am and sung Matins at 10 am on Sunday morning, with the rector, Rev. William M. Bennett in charge. The rector announced that Rev. D.W. Sargent would be inducted into his new parish at St. Mark's Church, Auburn, on Wednesday night. Rev. Sargent will be the incumbent of Trinity, Blyth; St. Mark's, Auburn; Trinity, Belgrave; and St. John's, Brussels. He and his wife Grace, have served the church for the past three years in Teslin, Yukon Territory. The Archdeacon of the Saugeen, Venerable C.R. Townshend will officiate at the induction and the sermon will be preached by a former classmate at Huron, Rev. Robert F. Bennett of the Parish of Chesley. Trinity A.C.W. met Thursday, September 21, at "The Hut", home of Mrs. Lucy Diehl. The president, Mrs. Edith Smith presided. Mrs. Evelene Earl, secretary, read a letter from their sponsored student in Kalimpong, West Bengal, India.
